MG Engineering (MG) inspected and provided recommended repairs to the FIBC Building at a client site in North Vancouver. Later, MG provided the detailed engineering, and construction monitoring for the approved repairs.
The FIBC Building is an older building at the plant. The inspection provided by MG identified areas that required repairs. To complete the repairs, MG provide detailed engineering design, drawings for the repairs, Contractor Scope of Work documents, comparison of the tenders, and the construction monitoring. Some of the repairs required the demolition of a wall, and temporary support for the roof. Construction was coordinated with the operations staff to provide minimal disruption to everyday operation. Tools and the materials of construction were carefully selected to prevent a chemical reaction with the product in the building. Where required, proper barriers were put in place to isolate any contaminates from coming in contact with the product.
